Nubra Eco Lodge - Sumur Village

Nubra Ecolodge, a family-operated ecotourism establishment, is situated in close proximity to the Sumur sand dunes in the Nubra Valley. The surrounding landscape, overlooking the meeting point of the Shyok and Nubra rivers, serves as a natural habitat for seabuckthorn, wildflowers, and desert wildlife. Spanning 11 acres, our farm, which includes our family residence, features a variety of trees such as poplar, willow, apricot, and apple, in addition to vegetable gardens. The property offers a panoramic 360-degree view of the Karakoram mountains, the sand dunes, and the Nubra River.

A spacious open deck adjacent to the vegetable garden, facing the valley, serves as a lounge area or outdoor dining spot during pleasant weather. It is an ideal location for leisurely strolls along the Sumur sand dunes and the Nubra River. We suggest a minimum stay of two days to fully immerse yourself in the Nubra experience.

Nubra Ecolodge offers a variety of accommodation options. There are seven cottages with decks, as well as a Pine wood Cottage with a deck and en suite bathrooms. All of these accommodations provide stunning views of the snow capped mountains and the Nubra river valley. Additionally, the Main house features a GuestRoom with an ensuite bathroom on the ground floor, and two GuestRooms on the first floor with a spacious terrace. Each room has the capacity to accommodate an extra bed if needed. Guests can enjoy their meals in the traditional dining area or on the open deck, weather permitting.
